Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full production?
After filming my preliminary task, I feel as though I have learnt a lot of new skills in media. Firstly I have learnt to use the different camera shots and rules, for example I know how to incorporate the 180 degree rule and how to use shot revers shot when two characters are having a conversation. I also knew how to use different camera shots such as; high and low angle shots, close ups, mid shots etc.
From my preliminary task, I extended my imagination, as this video was very simple and very boring. I added in lots of effects such as diegetic and non diegetic sounds, I added in lots of titles and connotations, I added in lots of film transitions so that my film ran smoothly.
Not only did I learn new things and improve on the filming and editing on my film but I also learn to use new software. For example using Premier Pro was a new experience for me, although I struggled to get to grips with the editing at first I soon began to become confident with the software. I also extenuated my knowledge and skill making from my preliminary task when I started uploading my video drafts to YouTube, this is something I hadn't done before and found it very helpful when I needed my film link.
