What went wrong during the planning?

Characters:

When planning my characters, I wanted to have one main character called Holly. She would have a personality of a shy, lonely girl that had no friends at school. However when filming it was obvious to me that there needed to be another main character involved. I added in another character called Chanel. She had complete opposite characterises of Holly. This didn't change much of the original planning of my film but I believe it improved the story line and made my film much more interesting with a reverie involved.

Another reason as to why I wanted to have two main characters that had different personalities is because from researching my teen angst films I learnt that there is always a main characters that over powers and belittles another main character. I wanted to create this. For example this is demonstrated in Mean Girls, when the new girl Kady is bossed around and bullied by The 'it girl Regina. Likewise in High school musical, Gabrielle the innocent, intelligent girl is intimidated by the personality and behaviour of the popular girl Sharpay Evans. 

Sharpay Evans: The popular girl of the school.                          Gabrielle: The shy, geeky girl.
