Shot List
Introduction
In the opening of my film I plan to use as many different camera shots, for example I want to use the following: close up, long shot, mid shot, high angle, low angle, birds eye view and finally mid shot. For the planning of my film opening I looked at the several different teen angst film I researched and I evaluated the different camera shots that incorporated into their openings. By doing this it gave me an idea of what camera shots I should include in the opening of my film.
Shot One
Shot one is of the main character walking into a classroom, I want to capture this moment of the film by having a high angle tracking shot of her walking with her head down. I want to use a high angle shot to show that the characters head is facing towards the floor, this is to connote her being embarrassed and ashamed of her party being shut down. And then I want to collide this camera angle with a tracking shot. I am going to use a tracking shot because this will emphasis the main character walking into the room and it will make the shot look as though the camera is attached the character because as they move the camera moves in their footsteps.
Shot Two
For shot two I am planning on using an extreme close up shot of the main characters mobile phone. This will capture lots of threatening messages coming through to her phone, this will make the audience sympathies towards the character.
Shot Three
Shot three will be capturing a clock, showing the time of 20 past 9. I will capture this using an extreme close up, which will then transition in to another clock showing the exact same time however it will the clock in the main characters house. This will also be showed throw an extreme close up. This scene will then go into an editing section were by time will rewind and go back to the night before.
Shot Four
Shot four will be a mid shot of the main characters parents leaving their house for the night, in this shot I want to capture the suitcases so that it shows the audience that they are leaving for the weekend and that Holly is parent free. I plan on capturing the suitcases by using a tracking shot, as the suitcases are being wheeled away the camera will follow.
Shot Five
For shot five I will use another extreme close up to capture Holly's phone screen, showing the Facebook event for the party. By using an extreme close up I will be able to capture the phone in high quality and ensure the imagine isn't blurry.
Shot Six
Shot six will be a birds eye view shot that tracks around the room when the party is in full swing. I want to use this camera shot so that it captures the vibe of the party and emphasises how many people are there. Alone with this camera shot will be lots of high key flashing lights and loud raving non-digetic music.
