USP and Target audience
The unique selling point of my teen angst film is to let the audience relate to my film. Teenagers are always experiencing different relationships everyday and Busted isn't far from showing this. My target audience is aimed at teenagers from the age of 15-18. I picked this target audience because these are the ages of the characters in the film and most of the audience will be able to relate to the different scenarios in the film.
I also received feedback from my teacher when presenting my pitch about the film, that a lot of girls will mainly watch this film, a range from popular girls and quiet shy girls. This is because they are both related to in my film and can be very similar to what they are/ have experienced during their time at high school.
Research on USP and Target audience
From my research of teen angst film openings, I saw that most of the main characters were girls and it was related to the different social groups in schools. This is why I wanted to have two girls in my film that have opposite personalities. From my research I also noticed that most the settings were based around a school for example Easy A, Mean girls, High school musical, The breakfast club and Clueless.
