Titles and Connotations

 

Title Page

 

This is a mood board I created from the research I found on teen angst films. This mood board shows eight different teen angst titles and connotations. After analysing the different titles and connotations I can see that form my opening of the film I need to use coloured titles and bold bubble writing. For the opening title, 'Busted' I will display the main character (Holly) and different objects or slogans which relate to the film. For example my vision of the opening title would be an animated background that has an un animated 3D image of the main character, with the title in bold white writing saying 'Busted'. Along with this I would have images of the other characters in the film and images of alcohol bottles and music notes. This would create a relatable title page to what happens in the opening of my film.

 

Titles and Connotations

 

In the opening of my film, Busted I am going to use white coloured bubble writing. This will be used for the following;

• Produced by...
• Edited by...
• Starring...

All of these were en rolled in the teen angst films I researched and were shown in the first two minutes of the opening of the film. These film titles were also joined with music and were displayed on the screen as part of the film in the background. Especially in the film Easy A.

 

Therefore in my film I want to use my research and let the title's fade into the shot without them distracting the audience from the opening scenes. I want the titles to travel across the bottom of the screen in a slow past, so that it allows the audience to read what is being said.
